Borough Mayor
The Mayor is elected at-large for a four-year term and serves as the presiding officer of the Borough Council. The Mayor is responsible for signing all ordinances passed by the Council and is empowered to declare public emergencies. Acting as a key liaison between residents and the Council, the Mayor ensures that public safety remains a top priority. Additionally, the Mayor is an ex officio member of all Borough committees, participating in their activities and decision-making processes. While the Mayor has voting rights on Council only in the event of a tie, they do not possess veto power. In this role, the Mayor also serves as the official representative of the Borough, acting as its spokesperson and representing the community at various civic and social events.
